Aaron Phypers, the estranged husband of American actress Denise Richards, has been ordered to pay about $160,000 after failing to respond to a lawsuit.

Court documents show that a judge at the Los Angeles County Superior Court issued a default judgment against Aaron after he failed to contest the claims.
According to TMZ, lawsuit was filed by Rupert Perry, a widower whose wife, Elina Katsioula-Beall, d.ied in May 2024 after battling Sarcoma. According to the complaint, Elina turned to Aaron’s wellness center in June 2023 after conventional cancer treatments stopped working.
Perry claims Aaron promoted a stem cell treatment that could “ameliorate” her condition and allegedly promised a 98% success rate along with a 50% refund if the treatment failed. However, Perry says the treatment did not work, and Elina requested a $63,000 refund half of what she paid but never received it.
The lawsuit alleges Aaron delayed and failed to refund the money before Elina’s passing. A source close to Aaron says his wellness center only served as a middleman and that he should not be held personally responsible, but the court’s ruling has now placed financial responsibility on him.
This legal setback comes amid Aaron’s ongoing disputes with his estranged wife, American actress Denise Richards. She had previously secured a permanent restraining order against him, accusing him of d0mestic vi0lence during their marriage, and the couple’s court battles continue to make headlines.
