Bobrisky, a controversial cross-dresser, is set to be released from Kirikiri Correctional Centre on August 5, 2024, after serving a six-month sentence for abusing the naira by spraying it at parties

According to the Punch, this was confirmed by a prison source and Bobrisky’s lawyer, Ayo Olumofin.
Bobrisky was sentenced on April 12, 2024, and has been serving his time since then. Although he filed an appeal, it is unlikely to be heard before his release.
He was arraigned on four counts of naira abuse and pleaded guilty, admitting to spraying naira notes on several occasions.
The court found him guilty and sentenced him to six months in prison without an option of fine.
Bobrisky’s lawyer confirmed that he will be released on August 5, but may not attend the release due to other commitments.
