A group linked to Boko Haram known as Jama’atu Ahlis-Sunna Lidda’Awati Wal-Jihad (JAS) has released a video showing 416 abducted residents of Ngoshe community in Gwoza Local Government Area, claiming the captives are alive, healthy, and not being mistreated
In the footage obtained, terrorists were seen displaying the victims—mostly women and children, alongside a few men—while speaking with them during the recording.

In the six-minute video, a member of the group stated that the recording was made at the request of the Borno South Youths Alliance (BOSYA), which he claimed has been acting as a mediator since the abduction.
The group further insisted that all the abducted persons remain safe in their custody.

Meanwhile, BOSYA confirmed that 416 people were taken during the attack and called on the Nigerian government, international partners, and global leaders to urgently intervene to secure their release.
The attack on Ngoshe reportedly took place on March 4, when insurgents stormed the community and abducted hundreds of residents.
