American soccer player Christian Pulisic is facing scrutiny off the field following comments from his ex–girlfriend, professional golfer Alexa Melton.
Melton alleges that Pulisic began dating again before their relationship officially ended.
The allegations surfaced in Melton’s Instagram comments after a follower referenced her recent split.
The fan wrote, “This generational fumble will be studied for years to come,” to which Melton cheekily replied, “how many likes to post his Raya profile.”
She later added in a now-deleted comment that Pulisic was already on the celebrity dating app, Raya, “before it even ended.”
Pulisic, who went public with Melton in 2024 after sliding into her DMs, hasn’t commented on the claims. Previously, he publicly denied dating actress Sydney Sweeney, who is now reportedly dating Scooter Braun.
While Melton hasn’t shared details about the breakup itself, it seems likely she’ll continue weighing in.
On the field, Pulisic remains a top U.S. soccer talent, considered one of the best American players in years. With the World Cup coming up, the timing of this off-field drama couldn’t be worse but fans hope he can focus and block out the noise.
