The Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned the alleged terrorism trial of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and his son, Abdulaziz Malami, to March 10, 2026

The adjournment came after the Director of Public Prosecutions of the Federation, Rotimi Oyedepo, requested additional time to review the case file.

Oyedepo explained that the matter was recently transferred from the Department of State Services (DSS) to his office, and the prosecution needed time to properly examine the details.

Counsel to the defendants, Adedayo Adedeji, did not oppose the adjournment but urged the court to strike out the case if the prosecution fails to commence trial on the next hearing, claiming the matter had not been diligently pursued.

Presiding Judge Joyce Abdulmalik granted the request, adjourning the trial to March 10 and directing the prosecution to open its case on that date.
