Zlatan Ibile has shared his struggles as an upcoming artist at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
During a livestream chat with Shank Comics, he said after winning the Airtel One Mic Talent show in 2014, he used his prize car to run a nighttime transport business, ferrying passengers from Abeokuta to Shagamu for ₦350 to support his education and feeding.
He said: “Back in school, when there was no money for food, I would d just wait till night and use the car I won from the Airtel One Mic Talent show to run cab from Abeokuta to Shagamu for ₦350,”
His big break came in 2017 with ‘My Body’, featuring Olamide, which he credits as his career turning point, calling Olamide’s verse “life-changing”.
