Canadian rapper Drake has opened up about a bizarre run-in with Swedish authorities, recounting how he was arrested “for absolutely nothing” after hosting a private party
Speaking on a podcast, Drake said the incident occurred around three years ago and began when the girlfriend of a police officer attended the event he organized.
“Apparently, we did a private party, and one of the officers, his girl came to the party,” Drake recalled.
“They arrested me way too aggressive, and they arrested me for nothing.”
When asked how long he was held, he first guessed, “Three days?” before correcting himself with a laugh, “Nine hours.”
The host jokingly asked if the experience had been “fun” or at least worth it, but Drake was quick to dismiss the idea.
“No, no, no. It wasn’t good. I got arrested for nothing.”
