A deeply emotional moment has captured attention after Isaac Fayose shared a personal experience that left him reflecting on life, love, and the choices people make.
According to him, he had travelled to Australia to visit his family, expecting the usual warm reception from his wife. But this time, things were painfully different.
“I’m in Australia to visit my family. When I came in, my wife who usually comes to pick me at the airport, my wife who used to welcome me with warm hugs, my wife who used to cook my favourite food whenever I come… could not even talk, couldn’t open her eyes. She was very weak because she is down with cancer.”
Sowore explained that he stayed by her side, trying to comfort her in a moment that left him heartbroken.
“I sat beside her and decided to sing her favorite song to cheer her up. While singing it, my wife held my hand strong. She couldn’t talk, but she was hearing my voice. Her eyes were closed, but she squeezed my hand and held it tight.”
The experience, he said, made him reflect deeply on the limits of wealth and the reality of life.
“Our one million dollar house couldn’t save my wife. My wealth couldn’t save my wife. She was lying there, holding my hand helplessly. To you politicians that are taking people’s money, have you forgotten that a day like this will come?”
He ended with a strong message about purpose, accountability, and the state of the country.
“If it is going to remain one hour for me to leave this earth, my voice, my time, and my wealth will be to help people. As I was holding my wife, they were sending me videos from Ekiti hospital maternity ward no light, no water. Please, politicians, think about it. One day, all of us will leave this world.”
