Korede Bello has shared his reasons for leaving Mavins Records, his former record label
In a recent interview with Hip TV, Korede Bello explained that he needed to reassess his personal growth and artistic purpose, leading him to depart from the label after a seven-year tenure.
He stated that he needed to explore his inner worth, understand himself better, and reconnect with his motivations.
Korede Bello also mentioned that he felt like a product solely focused on generating revenue, and that this mindset can lead artists to lose sight of what truly matters.
“I was at a season in my life where I needed to metamorphose, to explore my inner worth, to do introspection, understand myself, understand meaning more, and reconnect to my why.
“Because I was at a stage where I started to feel like a product that is just there [at Mavins Records] to make money.
“You lose sight of what matters when you chase after the next hit, after the next whatever it is that can get you into conversations. So a lot of artists are addicted to that circle.”
