Nigerian actress Laide Bakare has condemned the Nigerian police for an alleged harassment incident involving her and her little daughter, Simi
According to Laide Bakare’s Instagram post, they were hindered by police officers while driving to a party, and without any explanation, one of the officers drove away in their car with Simi still inside.
Laide Bakare expressed outrage and disbelief, asking how a sane person could take a child in a car without the parent’s consent.
She described the experience as brutal and terrifying for her daughter.
Laide also alleged that the police officers targeted them because of their big car and attempted to exploit them for money, demanding her ATM card to withdraw N70,000.
She condemned the incident as evil and vowed to share more details, describing the officers’ actions as unacceptable and traumatic for her and her daughter.
