Gospel artist Moses Bliss has addressed criticism from the creative community following a design challenge he recently shared online.

The controversy began when Bliss posted on Facebook asking graphic designers to create flyers for his event free, mentioning that he would choose a preferred design to employ and continue working with . The post quickly drew attention, with some users submitting AI-generated designs almost immediately, while others shared their original creations.

Soon, the discussion spilled over to other platforms, with some creatives expressing frustration. Many argued that requesting free professional work is disrespectful and rarely seen in other industries. Others defended the initiative, suggesting it could offer exposure for emerging designers.

In a video response, Moses Bliss apologized to anyone who felt undervalued. “I sincerely apologise to every graphic designer who felt disrespected or undervalued… that was never my intention,” he said.

He clarified that his team already had a flyer design, but after receiving feedback and seeing the submissions from followers, he decided to turn it into a friendly challenge. “The idea was to give creatives a platform to showcase their work, not to undervalue them,” he added.

Bliss emphasized that participation in the challenge was entirely voluntary and announced plans to reward some of the standout designs, reaffirming his respect for the design community.
