The Ogun State Ministry of Justice has confirmed that it is fast-tracking the prosecution of Ademola Abiodun, aka DJ Chicken, following a series of road accidents that have raised public safety concerns
The latest incident occurred on November 1, 2025, in Sagamu, where DJ Chicken reportedly collided with two motorcycles, seriously injuring a rider and a female passenger. Eyewitnesses said he attempted to flee the scene, but was stopped by bystanders.

In a statement posted on the Ogun State Government’s official X account, the ministry said, “While it may be reasonable to allow crash victims to seek compensation through civil claims, some road users pose serious dangers to society and must be held accountable under criminal law. Mr Abiodun is one such person.”
The statement noted that at least two of Abiodun’s recent crashes were captured on video, underscoring his reckless driving. It added that his return to driving just three weeks after the first incident demonstrated the urgent need for state intervention to protect the public.
Abiodun was also involved in another road mishap on November 23, 2025, in Lekki, Lagos State, narrowly avoiding pedestrians. The ministry noted, “This lone car incident almost harmed pedestrians, but for good fortune and the pedestrians’ quick reflexes.”
To ensure accountability, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade, SAN, has directed authorities to expedite the pending Sagamu crash case for prompt arraignment. The ministry emphasized that it is working closely with law enforcement to safeguard road users.
