As the First Lady-in-waiting and a former model, Melania Trump is often the subject of speculation about her appearance, and Election Day continued that trend.
When she appeared with her husband at a polling station near Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday, wearing large sunglasses indoors, online viewers revived a conspiracy theory suggesting it wasn’t actually Melania but a body double.

Plastic surgeons opined that people weren’t entirely mistaken for thinking she looked different.
Dr. Dennis Schimpf, a cosmetic plastic surgeon from South Carolina, commented that Mrs. Trump had “probably had additional filler work done anticipating” her husband’s win and the accompanying media attention.
Dr. Thomas Barnes, a plastic surgeon from Newport Beach, California, however, suggested, “She just looked plain tired,” likely due to the exhausting nature of supporting her husband during the intense campaign.

Despite ongoing speculation, Mrs. Trump has firmly denied undergoing any cosmetic surgery.
However, board-certified plastic surgeons have previously suggested that she has likely had fillers in her cheeks, Botox in several areas, a nose job, and a face-lift.
