Kehinde Adegbodu has shared a distressing account of a r0bbery incident at his home, revealing the fear and trauma his family is currently facing.
According to him, the incident occurred shortly after he had traveled out of town. He explained:
“I was in Osogbo three days ago when Taiwo’s wife called me and her voice was shaking. She said armed robbers came to the house and were saying ‘where is Kehinde? Where is the room of Taiwo that d!ed? Where are their jewelries? Where is Taiwo’s phone? Where is the car key? We are here because of Kehinde, we want to see him, where is his room?’ The robbers took all my clothes, valuables and cash. One of the robbers called their boss on the phone that I wasn’t around”
Kehinde suggested that the attackers may have targeted him based on assumptions about financial donations previously made to support his family. He said:
“I think the robbers thought that the money Yinka Ayefele raised for us was still with me. These robbers don’t even care that we are mourning. They spent over 45mins at our house. The money raised for us was used to develop our building project so we could bury Taiwo there. I will post my account balance so that these robbers will know there is no money there. Please don’t come and h@rm our children.”
He further clarified his financial situation and lifestyle, emphasizing that he does not possess the wealth the robbers seemed to believe he had:
“I am always on the road. I don’t have money and I don’t live a fake life. Even the car we are using was a gift.”
Since the robbery, Kehinde revealed that his and Taiwo’s children have been deeply affected by the ordeal and are struggling with fear:
“Since the incident, our kids have been living in fear, they are scared to sleep in the house”
