A heated exchange unfolded on Arise Television’s The Morning Show on Tuesday when Minister of Works David Umahi clashed with anchor Rufai Oseni during a live interview
Tensions rose after Oseni questioned Umahi on issues surrounding the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project and alleged that the minister had reported him to President Bola Tinubu over his critical remarks about the project.

Visibly irritated, Umahi dismissed the allegation, saying, “You are too small for me to report to the President. Stop saying I reported you to the President, you’re too small.”
The confrontation intensified when Umahi described himself as “a professor in the field of engineering,” prompting Oseni to ask when he became one.
Umahi retorted, “Keep quiet and stop saying what you don’t know. I’m a professor in this field. You don’t understand anything,” explaining that his professorship was based on his vast experience rather than an academic title.
As the back-and-forth continued, Umahi accused the host of lacking technical understanding of engineering matters, saying, “You have no knowledge of what you’re asking.”
In response, Oseni replied, “Minister, it’s alright. Keep dignifying yourself and let the world know who you truly are.”
