Gauteng police have apprehended a female suspect in connection with the brutal k!lling of an e-hailing driver in Pretoria West on Wednesday
Authorities say more arrests are expected as investigations into the shocking incident continue.
Police spokesperson Colonel Mavela Masondo stated that initial findings indicate the victim was attacked by a male and female passenger who had booked the e-hailing service.

“The driver’s hijacked vehicle and his body were later discovered in Atteridgeville on the same day,” Masondo said.
The suspect is scheduled to appear before the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court on Monday, facing charges including murder and car hijacking.
The arrest follows the circulation of a disturbing video on social media showing a young man being assaulted inside his vehicle. Anti-crime activist Yusuf Abramjee shared the footage on X, showing a woman in a beige bucket hat and white t-shirt in the front seat while a man in the back repeatedly attacked the driver before they fled.
Reports identify the victim as Isaac Satlat, a 22-year-old Nigerian national and Bolt driver. Satlat was reportedly a student with a graduation planned for next month and preparing to move to Canada for further studies.
Masondo confirmed that investigations are ongoing and that additional suspects may soon be arrested.
The police earlier condemned the viral video, describing it as depicting “what appears to be a gruesome murder of the victim.”
The swift arrest followed directives from Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni, who assigned a senior detective to the case and vowed that those responsible would be brought to justice.
