Yomi Fabiyi has revealed himself and newly freed Baba Ijesha, have parted ways
Yomi alleges that someone was sent to intimidate him, an act that left him both hurt and disappointed.
Throughout the 2021 s£xual assault case that led to Baba Ijesha’s conviction, Fabiyi had remained steadfast, supporting him and even assisting with his appeal.
He continued to stand by him after he completed his prison sentence in 2025, believing their friendship will continue.
Instead of gratitude, Yomi says he was met with hostility.
He claims Baba Ijesha instructed someone to threaten him to prevent him from talking about the case, and later released a music track that deliberately excluded his name.
“The same God that witnessed Baba Ijesha’s ungratefulness is now dealing with him.
“After all I did to help him avoid a life sentence, this is how I’m repaid. Helping someone shouldn’t invite betrayal, yet here we are. Evil deeds always boomerang.”
Yomi’s loyalty during the case had previously drawn mixed reactions, earning both praise and criticism. He maintains that his support was driven by fairness and personal conviction, making the sense of betrayal all the more painful.
