Nollywood star Pete Edochie was recently at the center of a bizarre internet rumor claiming he had passed away but his son, Leo Edochie, is putting an end to the madness.
The rumor, which spread like wildfire on X, falsely claimed that Pete himself had confirmed his death on Instagram.
Fans panicked, calls flooded in, and social media erupted until Leo decided to set the record straight.
Taking to Instagram, Leo delivered a sharp and heartfelt message to quell the false reports.
“I have been receiving calls, text messages, WhatsApp messages, over some nonsense that people posted, that my father, Pete Edochie, is dead. It’s a lie from the pit of hell. Our father is not just alive but hale and healthy. If you’re wishing someone dead, the person will live very long, or you’ll die before him,” he wrote.
Leo’s words serve as a firm warning to online rumor-mongers: Pete Edochie is alive, well, and thriving.
