18-Year Old Teenagers Stab Police Man To Death In LAGOS

Two teenagers and a 30-year-old man, Seyi Egbonwan, have
been charged before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrate’s Court in Lagos, for
allegedly stabbing a police officer to death with a knife.
The two teenagers, Wale Ojupon, 18, and Daniel Emeka, 18,
and Egbonwan, were charged on a seven-count offence of stealing, breach of
peace, murder, assault and possession of firearms.
According to the charge, the trio conspired, kidnapped and
killed one Constable, Abimbola Adesoji, by stabbing him.

The accused persons were said to have committed the alleged
offence on July 25 at Ajah, Ilaje, area of Lagos, during a riot in the
    community.
Police prosecutor, ASP Eshiet Eshiet, informed the court
that the offence contravened Sections 517, 70, 516, 317 and 309 of the Criminal
    Code, Laws of Lagos State.
However, the presiding Magistrate, Mrs Oyindamola Ogala,
refused to take the plea of the accused persons, saying the court had no
    jurisdiction in a murder case.

Subsequently, Magistrate Ogala ordered that the accused
persons be kept in prison custody pending the Director of Public Prosecution,
    DPP, advise.
