
A German Air Force pilot was killed today as two Eurofighter Typhoon jets collided during a combat training missing.
The pair of jets slammed into one another over a lake in a remote part of the northern Germany.
Emergency services have raced to northern Fleesensee, near Malchow, following the crash, which involved a pair of Eurofighters.
While one of the pilots was found alive in a tree shortly after the crash, according to Ostseewelle radio, police told broadcaster n-tv that the other pilot had been killed. This would be the sixth fatal crash since the jets came into operation.
