With the 2027 elections drawing closer, Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has again declared his unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu, highlighting a friendship that has spanned over 22 years
Speaking to reporters at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday after a closed-door meeting with the President, Soludo—wearing a white cap bearing Tinubu’s insignia and the phrase “Progressives are working together”—praised the President’s bold economic and structural reforms, describing them as the right path for Nigeria’s progress.
He explained that his backing of Tinubu goes beyond party lines, stressing that all political parties committed to progressivism should unite in a broad coalition to strengthen democracy and drive national development.
“I have no apologies for my support. He has been my friend for 22 years—you don’t deny your friend,” Soludo said.
