Three 13-year-old children have been injured in a shooting at Viertola school in the Finnish city of Vantaa, according to police.
The incident occurred before 09:00 local time on Tuesday, prompting police to advise residents to stay indoors.
A 13-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
Viertola School, which has 800 students and 90 staff, caters to children aged seven to 15, encompassing both primary and middle school grades.
Witnesses reported seeing two ambulances leaving the scene following the shooting.
The incident comes as students returned to classes after the Easter weekend, echoing the shock and concern felt by the local community.
