A 300-level student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Oluyemi Benjamin Oluwadamilare, has d!ed following complications related to sickle cell disease
The university’s Students’ Union Government announced his death in a post on X on Thursday, saying he died on Wednesday evening, October 28, 2026.
Oluwadamilare was a student of Plant Physiology and Crop Production (PPCP) at the university.
Announcing his de.ath, the union said, “It is with deep sadness that the Students’ Union Government announces the passing of Oluyemi Benjamin Oluwadamilare, a 300-Level student of Plant Physiology and Crop Production (PPCP), who passed away on Wednesday evening, 28 October 2026, following complications related to sickle cell disease.”
Describing his death as a loss to the university community, the union extended its condolences to his family, friends, coursemates and others who knew him.
“His passing is a painful loss to the FUNAAB community. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, coursemates and all those who knew and loved him,” it said.
