Thirty-five members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have assembled at the Ikeja High Court for the hearing of Speaker Mudashiru Obasa’s case regarding the ongoing leadership tussle
Obasa filed the suit to challenge his removal by the lawmakers while he was away in the United States. In his absence, the lawmakers elected Hon. Mojisola Meranda as the new Speaker.
However, Obasa returned to the Assembly yesterday, asserting that he had resumed his position as Speaker.
The case is being heard by Hon. Justice Y.R. Pinheiro.
