
The National President of the Nigerian Union of Teachers,
Michael Olukoya, has said 37 teachers died in the Tuesday bomb blast where a
suicide bomber blew up the Government secretariat in Zaria, Kaduna were many
died and a lot were injured. According to Mr Olukoya, the teachers had gone to take
part in the government-initiated verification exercise to weed off ghost
workers when the unfortunate incident happened.
