Veteran Nollywood actor Peter Fatomilola narrated how generous Mr Macaroni was to him after they first met at a movie shoot.
Fatomilola said he had gone to the set to work for someone else and After finishing his part, he was preparing to leave when he met Mr Macaroni, who asked if he was done.
In an interview, he said:
“We met at a movie shoot, I finished quickly and was about going, he asked, ‘ Uncle Fat, are you done?’. I said yes that I was leaving. It was just two scenes. He escorted me to the car.
“Then, he said, let me give you the fuel. The money wasn’t less than 200,000 naira. Even the person I came to work for, I did 2 scenes gave me 50,000 naira.”
That first encounter was followed by another invitation from Mr Macaroni. Fatomilola said he was asked to come for a job the next day, but when he arrived, he did not know he had only been called for one scene.
“He called me and said, ‘I will be expecting you for a job tomorrow. So I got there. I was waiting for them to give me a role, not knowing I was called for one scene”, he added.
The shoot was the one he did alongside Pete Edochie. Fatomilola said there was no discussion about payment before they finished, but he was later surprised when he found out how much Mr Macaroni had sent him.
“Pete Edochie, we both did the film and when we were done, he said I satisfied him. We never negotiated. We were still in Lekki. I asked how much did he send? 1 million Naira”, he said.
