Dozens of people are stuck in Taiwan tunnels after the biggest quake in 25 years hit the nation.
A powerful earthquake measuring 7.4 struck Taiwan’s east coast, impacting infrastructure in Hualien County and Taipei.
Nine deaths and over 800 injuries have been confirmed, with more than 100 still trapped, including 77 inside tunnels.
The quake triggered landslides and left buildings leaning precariously, complicating rescue efforts.
President Tsai Ing-wen pledged unity as rescue operations continue.
Flight restrictions in Japan were lifted after fears of a tsunami eased, but locals are urged to stay alert.
