Some unidentified assailants allegedly k!lled a maize farmer named Ogar Fidelis at his farm in the Odomosibi area of Ijebu-Igbo on Saturday
This incident occurred just two weeks after a rice farmer named Taiwo Paul was reportedly murdered by suspected herders in the Kata area of Ewekoro Local Government Area.
The victim was discovered in a critical condition, lying in a pool of blood at his rice plantation, with severe cuts to his neck and right leg. His twin brother, Kehinde, found him groaning in pain before he eventually succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the command’s spokesperson in a telephone conversation with Punch correspondent on Sunday said the corpse had been taken to the hospital for autopsy and noted that the investigation was still ongoing.
She said, “We are not suspecting anyone yet. We are investigating the matter. We will know the circumstances after the investigation is completed.
“In the meantime, the body has been deposited at the University Hospital in Ago-Iwoye mortuary for autopsy.”
