Hundreds of travelers are currently stranded on the Abuja-Kaduna highway, specifically at the Suleja axis in Niger state, due to protesters blocking the road

The blockade has resulted in a significant gridlock, extending several kilometers from Aluminum Village to Zuma military barracks.

According to Daily Trust, Abubakar Ibrahim, an Abuja resident attempting to travel to Kaduna, reported being stuck in the traffic congestion for over two hours near Gauraka junction.

He described the scene, stating, “Protesting youths have blocked the highway… There are few policemen standing from afar, but they can do nothing about the road block as the number of youths is beyond their control.”

The situation has caused significant disruptions to travelers’ plans, with many stranded for hours.
