The organizers of the nationwide hunger protests have announced that demonstrations will resume on October 1.

Protests were previously held from August 1st to 10th in response to the rising cost of living in the country. Omoyele Sowore, the Action Alliance Congress (AAC) presidential candidate and a key organizer, shared the news during an interview on News Central TV.

Sowore mentioned that organizers are holding ongoing meetings to strategize for the next phase of the protests, stating, “This protest will resume at the beginning of October and might even start earlier depending on situational variables.”

The organizers are demanding the reversal of fuel subsidies, an increase in the minimum wage to N250,000, the release of Nnamdi Kanu, and the adoption of a new constitution.

Despite President Bola Tinubu’s call to end the protests, the organizers have vowed to continue, dismissing his speech as unconvincing.

  1. Please, we are not interested in any protest. I know how much I lost these ten days. Nigeria and Nigerians lost a lot. To what gain? Look at Kenya today, they have successfully destroyed their country. Please, I am not in support of any protest. They government should sweep in on any body or group planning any protest
