Nollywood actress Ini Dima-Okojie has shared a positive update about her health announcing that her fibroids have shrunk after adopting a holistic approach, despite their return earlier this year.
In a TikTok video, Ini Dima said, “I made some lifestyle changes since I found out that the fibroids are back.
“So I went to the hospital recently to do an ultrasound scan and the fibroids are shrinking, so we’re doing something right; something is working.”
Back in July 2024, the actress revealed that her fibroids had returned three years after she underwent a successful myomectomy surgery to remove them.
In a video she posted, Ini Dima spoke about her challenges and future plans, saying, “It’s been 3 years since the surgery and unfortunately, the fibroids are back.”
Rather than opting for surgery again, the actress decided to explore natural methods to reduce the fibroids.
She updated her fans on her diet changes, avoiding bread, meat, and other foods.
“Dairy, so cheese, milk, refined sugar like cookies, cakes, condiments, and processed food in general. Also, carbonated drinks and caffeine. Honorary mention, sodium and anything high in salt. So I am avoiding these things because they are high in estrogen and these things can make the fibroids grow,” Ini Dima explained.
