Gboyega Akosile, spokesperson for Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, provided information about the incident on his X.com account @gboyegakosile, indicating that it happened at 4:12 p.m. on Saturday.

He confirmed that there were no casualties and that train services were not running at the time of the fire.
