Dua Lipa announced the cancellation of her upcoming concert in Jakarta, Indonesia, scheduled for November 9, due to safety concerns.
The 29-year-old singer, who is currently on the Asian leg of her ‘Radical Optimism‘ tour, shared the disappointing news in a heartfelt statement on Friday.
“I am heartbroken to share that I won’t be able to perform in Jakarta this Saturday,” she wrote. “I am in your wonderful country and ready to go, but sadly, it’s been decided that it’s not safe to move forward with the show due to staging safety issues.”
Dua expressed her regret, saying she had been looking forward to reconnecting with her Jakarta fans and noted how difficult it was for her to cancel the show.
She reassured fans that ticket refunds would be available from their original points of purchase and promised to return to perform in Jakarta as soon as possible.
This announcement comes on the heels of Dua’s wildly popular ‘Radical Optimism‘ world tour, which was unveiled in September.
Following a standout performance at Glastonbury, Dua quickly sold out back-to-back shows at London’s Wembley Stadium for June 2025.
Responding to high demand, she hinted on Instagram that even more tour dates would be added.
The *Radical Optimism* tour is set to continue in Australia, beginning on March 20, with stops across cities like Sydney, Auckland, Madrid, Hamburg, Paris, Amsterdam, and Dublin.
