Toke Makinwa has challenged the widespread notion that single individuals are inherently lonely and unhappy
In a post on the social media platform X, Makinwa highlighted the flawed assumption that life revolves around relationships.
She emphasised that many single people lead content and fulfilling lives, countering the idea that happiness is tied to being in a relationship.
Makinwa underscored the value of personal fulfillment, urging people to prioritize their happiness over societal pressures to couple up.
Toke wrote: “Beats me how some people think that every single person is lonely, it’ll shock you how content and happy single people are. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good to do life with someone but if you don’t find your own purpose you can be with someone and still be lonely.”
