Usman, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a prominent opposition, confirmed the incident via his verified Facebook account late on Wednesday.
The senator, who was elected to the Senate in 2023, did not provide detailed information about the circumstances surrounding the alleged attack.
Senator Usman said, “I just escaped an assassination attempt by some thugs in Kaduna North.”
