Ruger has opened up about a profound spiritual encounter at the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) in Lagos, where he spent his childhood

The Asiwaju crooner attended the church’s crossover service this year, a tradition he had missed for the past two years due to international commitments. Determined not to miss it again, Ruger instructed his manager to cancel any conflicting shows.
During the service, Ruger shared an emotional testimony, revealing he experienced a spiritual breakthrough. “I haven’t cried in four years, but today, I saw God again and cried,” he said. He also expressed gratitude to the congregation and church leaders for their support throughout his journey.
Ruger’s career has flourished since signing with Jonzing World Record in 2021. In February 2024, he launched his label, Blown Boy Entertainment. The star has earned accolades such as the AFRIMA Best Newcomer Award (2021) and Best New Artiste at the 2023 Soundcity MVP Awards.
