In a series of emotional posts shared on Instagram, Cynthia slammed May D for downplaying her struggles, warning him never to compare his own experience to hers.

“I no send you @mrmayd. Sha no ever call my phone to tell me say what you went through pass my own… ’cause I never sat you down to tell you what I went through. Very insensitive talk,” she wrote.

She then revisited her longstanding dispute with Jude Okoye, accusing him of mismanaging her career and sabotaging her financially. According to Cynthia, despite earning over ₦30 million in 2016, her potential earnings were limited due to Jude allegedly turning down multiple shows and endorsement deals on her behalf.

“Just double-checked that the first money he shared in 2016 was ₦20 million, and I went ahead to make an extra ₦10 million that same year… and the returns would have been way more if he wasn’t turning down shows and endorsements.”

She added that opportunities with brands like Glo and Kasapreko, a $30,000 show in Uganda, and major performances in Nigeria were rejected without her consent.

Cynthia went on to describe how her silent suffering was often misunderstood, with even her family failing to believe her side of the story.

“You can’t go through what I went through and still want to entertain people — I’m not a clown. When I broke down, they said it was drugs… money I didn’t even see. May God forgive all of you.”

Fighting back tears, she revealed that her mental health was pushed to the brink, suggesting that if not for divine intervention, her story might have ended in tragedy.

“If not for God, this page would have been in loving memory. Cynthia Morgan was obviously a clown. She made music through the harshest conditions and smiled through it all. Never again.”

She lamented how her strength was misinterpreted as denial, and how people weaponized her silence, painting her as unstable or addicted.

Closing her statement, she made it clear that her focus has shifted from music to healing and inspiring others to live right:

“My only passion now is to urge people to live right through my works and teachings so we don’t continue to break people.”

Cynthia’s latest outburst highlights years of unresolved conflict and emotional trauma, once again raising concerns about artist welfare and the treatment of creatives within the Nigerian music industry.
