Nollywood actor Monsuru Ayanfe has shared a personal anecdote about working with Funke Akindele, revealing a humbling side of the actress
He recounted an incident where he accidentally damaged her brand-new car while parking it after a film shoot.

Initially, Funke lost her temper, but later apologized for her reaction, showcasing her ability to acknowledge and make amends for her mistakes.
Monsuru reflected on the experience, highlighting Funke’s humility despite her high standards on set.
He also shared his own early struggles in the industry, where he earned a modest ₦5,000 working with Femi Adebayo, who earned ₦20,000 at the time.
Despite the low pay, Monsuru’s passion for acting kept him motivated.
Monsuru said: “I was the one who damaged Funke Akindele’s new car while trying to park it after a movie set. Funke is someone who can get angry quickly, but when she calms down, she apologises. Even if she reacts sharply, she retraces her steps afterwards.”
“When I started out, Femi Adebayo was giving me ₦5,000 because of the love I had for acting. I didn’t mind then, because I just wanted to act.”
