Alexander Isak has joined Premier League champions Liverpool as their new No.9, signing a long-term contract on deadline day after passing his medical
Speaking shortly after completing his move at the AXA Training Centre, the 25-year-old striker told Liverpoolfc.com:

“I feel amazing. It’s been a long journey to get here. But I’m super-happy to be a part of this team, this club and everything it stands for. It’s something I’m proud of and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m just happy it’s done and that I can get back to work. I’m looking forward to seeing my teammates and the fans, and getting back out there.”
The Sweden international established himself as one of the Premier League’s top forwards during three seasons with Newcastle United. Since arriving from Real Sociedad in 2022, Isak scored 62 goals in 109 appearances, including 54 goals in 86 league matches. He netted 23 times last season, finishing second only to Mohamed Salah in the Golden Boot race.
Now teammates with Salah, Isak is focused on winning trophies at Anfield. “I think I have a lot to give, I think I have a lot to improve. I’m a striker but I always want to give as much as possible to the team, mainly goals but much more than that as well. I want to win everything. Yeah, [as simple as that],” he said.
Isak began his career with AIK in Sweden before moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2017. After a productive loan spell with Willem II, he joined Real Sociedad in 2019, finishing as the club’s top scorer while helping them lift the 2019-20 Copa del Rey.
The striker has earned 52 caps for Sweden, scoring 16 goals, and now embarks on a new chapter at Liverpool.
