Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, has been honored with the prestigious traditional title of Sarauniyar Yaki (Warrior Queen) of Akko Emirate in Gombe State

During her two-day working visit to Gombe State, the First Lady is set to launch the Renewed Hope Initiative’s ‘Flow With Confidence’ programme, a landmark project aimed at providing schoolgirls with disposable sanitary pads to promote menstrual hygiene and reduce school absenteeism.

After receiving the title, Mrs. Tinubu described the honor as both inspiring and humbling. She vowed to expand her interventions for the girl-child, focusing on education and health, while urging traditional leaders to support her initiatives and help extend their reach to local communities.

The ceremony in Akko Emirate was attended by Gombe State Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, Chief Whip of the House of Representatives Hon. Usman Bello Kumo, and other notable dignitaries.
