Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, on Saturday declared that President Bola Tinubu need not visit the state to campaign for the 2027 elections
Speaking at an ongoing endorsement rally backing both President Tinubu and Kogi Governor Usman Ododo for a second term, Bello expressed confidence in his reelection.
He said, “President Tinubu, you don’t even need to come to Kogi State to campaign in 2027. There is no opposition here. Those making noise elsewhere haven’t seen the lion; when the lion roars, they will flee.
“Every great nation needs a leader whom people naturally gravitate towards, and Tinubu, you are that leader. Even after leaving office, we will continue to support you.
“We pray for you, Mr. President, and my governor, Ododo, wishing you long life, sound health, and prosperity. We thank the president for his achievements in Kogi, from infrastructure development and key appointments to improving security and financial support.
“Governor Ododo is performing exceptionally well, and under the APC, we are confident we will reach the promised land.”
