Veteran Nollywood actress Peju Ogunmola has, for the first time since the death of her only son, Ayomikun Omobolanle, broken silence about her grief and expressed heartfelt gratitude to her fans, family, and colleagues for their support during one of the most painful periods of her life
In a moving video shared on her social media, Ogunmola, dressed in a black shirt, spoke candidly about the emotional toll of losing her son two months ago.

She confessed that she had been overwhelmed by depression and the weight of her loss but emphasized that the love, prayers, and support she received from across the world have been a source of comfort and strength.
“To my dearest fans, family, and supporters across the world. Since the past two months that I lost my only son, I’ve been overwhelmed by depression. But since my state, you all have been behind me. I see the love you all show me and I feel your prayers and your love. Thank you, I’m grateful,” Ogunmola said, her voice filled with emotion.
She continued, acknowledging the depth of her sorrow while also expressing a desire to move forward. “From the bottom of my heart, I want to say a very big thank you to everybody across the world. I’m very grateful. There’s a gospel song that goes (sings ‘You are the most high God’). I’ve accepted my fate. Today, I rise again. Not because the pain is gone but because I know Ayomikun will want me to.”
Turning her thoughts to her career, Ogunmola expressed her readiness to return to the screen, highlighting her resilience and commitment to her craft. “My pressure calls and it’s time for me to return back to screen where I belong to. To all filmmakers, directors, producers, and my industry colleagues, I’m back — stronger and wiser. Let’s make magic again. Ise ya!”
Ogunmola’s openness has touched many, with fans and fellow actors expressing their support and admiration for her strength.
