Singer Mayorkun has recalled how Davido stopped responding to him for two weeks after he quit his banking job to pursue music.
According to him, he started going to church regularly during that period of two weeks, and something unexpected happened one day.
Surprisingly, he said Davido eventually sent him a WhatsApp message immediately after he finished singing praise and worship at church, asking him to pack his luggage and come to his house.
In an interview, Mayorkun recalled the experience, saying:
“Davido stopped replying to me for 2 weeks after I quit my banking job. I started going to church, and one day, immediately after singing praise and worship, he texted me on WhatsApp to pack my luggage and come to his house. You may not believe me.”
