The controversy surrounding Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has deepened after the doctor whose name appeared on the viral cancer report disowned the document and set the record straight.

Dr. O.A. Odigwe, a consultant pathologist and member of the Nigerian Medical Association (Delta State chapter), has clarified that he never issued any medical report to Blessing and has no connection to the claims being circulated online.

In an official communication, Odigwe stated that he resides and practices in Asaba, Delta State, contrary to the claim that he is based in Enugu. He also confirmed that his facility, Xinus Medical Diagnostics, is located in Asaba and did not at any time issue a histology report to Blessing Okoro.

He explained that the only related case handled by his laboratory dates back to May 2025, when a doctor from a private hospital in Asaba requested a confirmatory test for a patient identified as Mbara Deborah. The test was conducted and the result, which confirmed breast cancer, was issued to the referring doctor on May 9, 2025.

According to him, that original report bearing the name Mbara Deborah is the same document currently circulating online. He noted that the version linked to Blessing CEO appears to have been altered, stressing that it did not originate from his facility.

The statement further revealed that the original report is also in circulation through a law firm, Allen Juris Law, and remains the authentic version issued to the patient through her hospital.

The Nigerian Medical Association said the clarification became necessary due to the way the altered report is being used publicly, urging Nigerians to be properly guided.

The association emphasized that the integrity of its members must not be compromised and called on relevant authorities to investigate the situation and protect the public from being misled or exploited.
