Barrister Deji Adeyanju has stirred fresh reactions online after sharing his thoughts on activist Omoyele Sowore, praising what he described as Sowore’s deeply rooted public image and credibility built over decades of activism.
His comment came in the middle of the ongoing online tension involving social media critic VeryDarkMan and business entity BLORD, a feud that has been generating widespread debate and heated exchanges across the internet.
Adeyanju, who previously served as VeryDarkMan’s lawyer and is also known to have had a close relationship with him, appeared to weigh into broader conversations about trust, public perception of Sowore .
In his statement, he pointed to Sowore’s long history of activism spanning over three decades, suggesting that his consistency and advocacy for justice have made him a figure many Nigerians strongly believe in, regardless of controversies or allegations.
He said:
“Even if you show Nigerians a video of Sowore stealing money from Zenith bank vault, his integrity will still be intact. Sowore has fought for freedom and justice in Nigeria for more than 36yrs.”
The statement has since sparked conversations online, especially as it contrasts sharply with the current atmosphere of accusations and counter-accusations surrounding the VeryDarkMan and BLORD dispute.
