Scores of residents have been feared k!lled after armed bandits stormed Kemanji village in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State in the early hours of Monday.
The attack, which reportedly began around 3 am, also led to the death of several soldiers, according to security sources who spoke on the incident.

According to Daily Post, it was gathered that troops of the Nigerian Army, alongside local vigilantes, confronted the attackers in a fierce gunfight that lasted for about two hours, ending around 5 am.
While the exact number of casualties and the scale of destruction remain unclear, sources confirmed that some soldiers lost their lives during the exchange.
The latest assault comes shortly after similar attacks in Woro and Nuku communities within the same local government, where bandits reportedly killed many residents, set homes ablaze, and kidnapped more than 100 people who are yet to regain their freedom.
