Filmmaker Belinda Onyinye has broken her silence after sharing disturbing post on social media
In the post, she had written;
“Nobody should ask of me.
I just want to be gone”
Reacting to her post, Rotimi Salami expressed concern over the post and wrote;
“Does anyone know who lives with @thespian_belinda or lives close to her?
She posted this just now, and I tried calling her number immediately, but it’s switched off.
Is there anyone who can help check on her?
I am worried… plus the last 2 posts on her page are suggestive.
Let’s share any info on her, please”.
Breaking her silence an hour ago, she wrote;
I want to sincerely apologize for scaring so many people with my last post.
The truth is, I was in a really dark place and felt completely overwhelmed. I’m deeply grateful that a Good Samaritan stepped in when I needed help the most. I’m still here, and I thank God for that.
I never shared it for attention. I was simply hurting.
Seeing the messages, calls, and love has reminded me that so many people are quietly going through their own struggles too.
Before things got that bad, I reached out to a few people hoping for just a few minutes of listening.
Maybe life was busy for everyone and that’s okay but it showed me how important it is to keep reaching out and to keep speaking up.
I’m truly sorry for causing fear and worry. That was never my intention.
Right now, I’m choosing to move forward, take better care of myself, and do the things that bring me genuine happiness both online and offline.
Thank you to everyone who checked on me and showed love. It means more than I can ever explain”.
