According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), pilgrims participating in the 2026 Hajj exercise will gather at Mount Arafat on Tuesday, May 26, marking the ninth day of Dhul Hijjah, while the Eid al-Adha celebration will take place the next day.

The Day of Arafat is regarded as the most important stage of Hajj, as millions of Muslim faithful converge on the plains of Arafat near Mecca for worship, prayers and spiritual reflection.

Eid al-Adha is one of Islam’s most significant festivals and honours Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience to God when he was prepared to sacrifice his son before a ram was provided in his place, according to Islamic belief.
