Social media personality VeryDarkMan has pushed back against criticism trailing his earlier comment on the timing of Justice Crack’s release, insisting he was misunderstood due to time zone differences.
The backlash started after users claimed he suggested Justice Crack would only be released the following day, only for the development to happen sooner than expected. The reaction quickly spread online, with many questioning the accuracy of his statement.
Responding directly, he dismissed the accusations and maintained that the interpretation was flawed, not his information.
He said:
“People Are Saying I Said Justice Crack Was Going To Be Released Tomorrow, But He Later Came Out Tonight. You People Are a Bunch Of Dummies. I’m In China, So The Time Difference Still Means I Was Correct.”
Justice Crack, whose real name is Chidiebere Mark, was arrested in April 2026 after Nigerian authorities moved against him over viral posts on X (formerly Twitter) in which he alleged that soldiers were complaining about poor welfare conditions, claims officials said were capable of inciting disaffection within the military and disturbing public order.
Justice Crack was first picked up by the Nigerian Army and later transferred to the Department of State Services (DSS), before being arraigned at the Federal High Court in Abuja on charges linked to cybercrime and attempts to incite public unrest under the Cybercrimes Act.
He was remanded in custody during initial hearings as the court considered bail, with proceedings stretching for several weeks before he was eventually granted bail on strict conditions in May 2026, while his trial remains ongoing.
