Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, has playfully searched for a wife for her son, Nwachukwu, while celebrating his birthday
Marking the occasion on Instagram on Monday, Bianca posted a collection of photos, including recent snapshots with her son and an old picture from his school days.
Describing Nwachukwu as her special “June gift,” the minister used the birthday tribute to jokingly announce that applications were open for women interested in becoming part of the family.
“Happy Birthday, Nwachukwu Jordan Odumegwu-Ojukwu, my awesome June gift, born at beginning of my favorite month,” she wrote.
She humorously stated that a list was being compiled for “interested, hopeful and potential brides,” adding that early applicants could enjoy a waiver on bride price pending approval from family members.
Bianca also made light of her image as an overprotective mother-in-law before offering prayers for her son.
“May God continue to guide and protect you. Wish you were here!”
Nwachukwu is one of the three children she had with her late husband, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.
